Emily Myers

Principal, Mastery Charter School – Thomas Elementary
Mastery Charter Schools
2018 Neubauer Fellow

“I am a principal in Philadelphia because I believe that it is the role of educators to create equitable spaces so that all children receive a high-quality education. Through rigorous instruction and a supportive school community, we can address social and racial systemic injustices in order to set up our students to achieve at the highest level. I am privileged and humbled to be a Neubauer Fellow. Through my collaboration with colleagues across the city and meaningful personal development, I hope that I am able to best serve and lead my school community.”

Emily has served as the principal of Mastery Charter School – Thomas Elementary since 2016. Serving a diverse student body, Mastery Thomas Elementary is proud to provide culturally relevant programming and offer an array of enrichment courses, after-school opportunities, and community partnerships.
