Senior Fellow Programming 2023–2024

Great schools require great leaders, but great leaders require great teams. Therefore, we are proud to launch, in partnership with ANet, the Breakthrough Results Collaborative, which supports school teams (a Senior Fellow plus two of their leaders) to accomplish extraordinary results for students by improving the instructional systems and structures in their schools.

Registration for Breakthrough Results Collaborative, for 2023-2024 school year is now closed.

Registration Coming Soon

Please check back in spring of 2024 for information on registering for next year.

Overview

You and your team are ideal Breakthrough Results Collaborative participants if you are:

  • A Senior Fellow who currently leads a single school as a principal, Head of School, CEO, President, etc.
  • Hungry and poised to take your instructional program to the next level, and therefore, increase student growth and achievement.
  • Prepared to be pushed in your practice by a coach who will challenge and support you to get out of your comfort zone.
  • Able to manage your calendar and prioritize fulfilling all program commitments with fidelity (attending and actively engaging in all sessions and coaching).

During the one-year program, school teams (Senior Fellow plus two additional leaders) will:

  • Set, work toward, and measure progress against core academic goals.
  • Develop instructional systems and structures around coaching, professional learning, and data use for school-wide academic improvement.
  • Build your team’s coaching, planning/facilitation, and data analysis skills and then turn key learnings to develop your own staff.
  • Participate in development sessions with other participants, including:
    – A one-day in-person kickoff over the summer (July 18, 2023).
Approximately monthly in-person sessions during the school year (3 hours each, no sessions in December or March).
  • Actively engage in two hours of individual/group coaching from a designated Instructional Leadership Coach.
  • Develop a diverse network of principal colleagues to learn from and alongside.

Registration Criteria

Registration will be on a first-come, first-served basis, and capacity is limited.
After capacity has been met, anyone who registers will be added to a waiting list.

Eligibility

School teams must be led by a Senior Fellow serving as the leader of an individual in Philadelphia’s district, charter, or independent schools. The leader could serve as a Principal, Head of School, CEP, President or other title as long as they are leading a single school.
